My name is Kaye Williams and I have been the proud co-owner, with my husband Les,  of Avondale Heights Childcare and Early Learning Centre   for that last 5 years. Les and I hold Bachelor of Education degrees, and were Primary school teachers for 20 years, both teaching in rural and Melbourne schools across Victoria.

In 1992 we decided to channel our love of teaching into an exciting new project, purchasing a child care centre in Upwey (Dandenong Ranges). Two years later we built another centre in Ferntree Gully which could facilitate an even greater number of local children. We ran and managed this centre on a daily basis for the next 10 years.In 2005, we sold our Upwey centre and custom built 5 new centres, located throughout metropolitan Melbourne. We sold these five childcare centre’s in 2010, after I was diagnosed and sought treatment for breast cancer.

My passion for providing high quality childcare for children and their families never diminished, and so in 2012 we purchased our beautiful Avondale Heights Childcare and Early Learning Centre. I am so proud of the centre it has become, and believe that the passion and commitment of every single staff member has played such a huge role in seeing the centre continue to flourish.

My philosophy of children first has never wavered in my lifetime of working with our precious children, their families and quality Educators.
