Children Come First

Our educational programs are based on the outcomes documented in the Victorian Early Years Learning Framework (VEYLF) and the Commonwealth Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) of Australia, Belonging, Being & Becoming. They  have been designed to engage and stimulate each child’s interests, in order to facilitate learning and development.

QKeYLM

Our Educators use a professional online program called QKeLM. As a parent you can access information from this program via an online parent portal called My Family Lounge.

My Family Lounge  provides instant access to your child’s educational and learning portfolio.  By downloading the My Family Lounge App, you can also view your child’s daily journal, records, observations and photos stored in the image gallery.

Experiences

The comprehensive daily emergent program of activities and experiences are planned and displayed clearly across all rooms in the centre.

Experiences presented are planned according to the children’s interest and developmental stages, and will include experiences such as:

  • Music
  • Pre-literacy and Pre-numeracy
  • Movement
  • Art and Craft
  • Dramatic play
  • Science
  • Sensory motor activities (promoting physical developmental and coordination)

Structure

Children are natural learners and we respect that each child develops at their own pace. While we believe that spontaneity and flexibility during play are important components of children’s learning and development, educators also see this as an important time to scaffold children’s learning to further meet the individual needs of the children.

Parental input is a vital part of a child’s program planning.  Annual Parent/Educator interviews are scheduled throughout the year, allowing time for qualified Educators and parents to confidentially discuss their child’s progress.
