Children Come First
Educational Philosophy
Our educational programs are guided by the principles and outcomes outlined in the Victorian Early Years Learning Framework (VEYLF) and the Australian Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF)—Belonging, Being & Becoming. These frameworks shape our approach to early childhood education, ensuring that every program is thoughtfully designed to engage, inspire, and support each child’s unique interests, learning style, and developmental journey.
Playground & Parent Communication
We use Playground, a secure and professional online platform, to support our educational programming and family communication. Parents can access their child’s learning journey through the Xplor Home parent portal.
The Xplor Home app offers instant access to your child’s educational portfolio. By downloading the app, you’ll be able to view daily journals, learning observations, records, and photos captured throughout the day—keeping you connected to your child’s experiences at the centre.
Daily Experiences & Learning
Our centre provides a rich, emergent curriculum filled with engaging activities designed to support each child’s interests and developmental stage. These experiences are thoughtfully planned and clearly displayed in each room.
Examples of our learning experiences include:
-
Music and movement
-
Pre-literacy and pre-numeracy skills
-
Creative arts and crafts
-
Dramatic and imaginative play
-
Science exploration
-
Sensory and motor activities that promote physical development and coordination
Learning Structure & Family Partnership
We believe children are natural learners who thrive in environments that nurture both structure and spontaneity. Our educators embrace flexible, play-based learning while also intentionally scaffolding experiences to support each child’s individual growth.
Parental involvement is an essential part of our programming. We invite and value your input, and schedule annual Parent–Educator interviews to provide dedicated time for open, confidential conversations about your child’s progress and development.
