Lauren

My name is Lauren, I am the Educational Leader at Avondale Heights Childcare and Early Learning Centre. I have worked in the early childhood industry for the past 9 years. During this time I have extended my knowledge and skills through the completion of an Advanced Diploma, and most recently a Bachelor of Education (birth – grade six).

I believe that a love for learning begins from birth and that it is a lifelong process. I also believe that if this love for learning is fostered within a nurturing environment it can make all the difference, within this environment children can develop the skills and abilities they need to drive their passion for learning.

My role as Educational Leader is to inspire, motivate, affirm and mentor Educators, whilst also providing curriculum direction. I also challenge or extend the practice and pedagogy of all Educators within the centre. It is a joint endeavour involving inquiry and reflection, which can significantly impact the important work that the educators at Avondale Heights Childcare and Early Learning Centre do with children and families.
